ionIon-exchange Resin

Ion-exchange resin

We offer a vast lineup of products to suit all types of needs. It is important to select the appropriate products for the application even when using the same type of ion-exchange resin. Find the optimal ion-exchange resin for the types of ions in the liquid to be processed, liquid volume, or processing speed.

Strongly acidic cation-exchange resin

This is cation-exchange resin with a strongly acidic sulfonic group -SO3- as the exchange group.
It is used in a diverse range of applications, such as soft water or pure water sampling.
We also carry a gel type with only micro-pores and a micro porous type with outstanding oxidation and chemical resistance properties formed during copolymerization of styrene and divinylbenzene.

Weakly acidic cation-exchange resin

This is cation-exchange resin with a weakly acidic carboxyl group - COO - as the exchange group. It has an acrylic resin matrix that is more hydrophilic than polystyrene.
The effective pH range is narrower than that of strongly acidic resins, but regeneration is easy and it can be used in batch processing.

Strongly basic anion-exchange resin

Anion-exchange resin with quaternized amine as the exchange group. It is used, in combination with strongly acidic cation-exchange resin, to manufacture pure water.

Weakly basic anion-exchange resin

Anion-exchange resin with weakly basic tertiary amine -N+(CH3)2 as the exchange group. Regeneration is easy and it can be used for batch processing.
A418 is an acrylic matrix gel type product.

Fine mesh (strongly acidic cation-exchange resin)

A group of strongly acidic cation-exchange resin products with different degrees of cross-linking (blending ratio of divinylbenzene to styrene). They are used in a wide variety of applications such as analysis, separation, and purification.

Fine mesh (strongly basic anion-exchange resin)

A group of type I strongly basic anion-exchange resin products with different degrees of cross-linking (blending ratio of divinylbenzene to styrene). They are used in a wide variety of applications such as analysis, separation, and purification.

Chelate resin

Instead of adsorption from ion exchange within an effective pH range, chelates are formed between exchange groups and metal ions, so that metal ions can be selectively retained. We use a variety of different resin exchange group depending on the metal selected.

Specialty ion-exchange resin

We carry a wide selection of specialty ion-exchange resins such as anion-exchange resin with a high regeneration efficiency that is resistant to organic contamination, nitrate-nitrogen adsorption ion-exchange resin, ion-exchange resin that adsorbs low concentration fluoride ions from well water and other sources, and anion-exchange resin used in hot water treatment.

Synthetic adsorbent

Products with no exchange group that use the van der Waals force between the substance and the resin matrix to adsorb target or non-target substances. Select the optimal resin by molecular weight of the target substance for adsorption, the size and distribution of pores in the resin, and other factors.

Mixed resin

Used in cartridge deionizers, cartridge polishers, wire-electrical discharge machines, and other equipment used in pure water production.

Muromac® purified resin

Ion-exchange resin for analysis (AG grade) refined with unique in-house methods using DowexTM fine mesh.
